Finance & Stewardship Ministry...
The Purpose of the Finance & Stewardship Ministry to be good stewards of the financial blessings that we receive from God and use them to further his Kingdom at Town & Country Christian Church, in our community and globally. The main body of this ministry is the Finance Committee which consists of the Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Chairman and members of the congregation as elected by the committee. The Treasurer and Financial Secretary positions are elected each year by the congregation. The chairman and other members are selected by the committee itself.
Treasurer:
- Is responsible for the disbursements of all church funds that are received
- Oversee various accounts (savings and checking)
- Review weekly income and expense reports
- Authorize payment of all expense vouchers
Financial Secretary:
- Is responsible for counting and keeping an account of all funds that are received
- Organizes Sunday offering counters
- Oversees this process
- Makes sure that funds are deposited
- Responsible for the year end financial statements of giving that members receive
Finance Committee:
- Responsible for putting together the annual budget
- Periodic review of budget
- Review and make recommendations on special financial issues that may arise during the year
- Establish policies relating to financial issues
Chairman:
- Oversees all of the activities of the committee
- Responsible for organizing and conducting meetings to discuss financial business
What Can You Do? One of the most important things that you can do is to prayerfully consider how you will support the mission of Town & Country Christian Church. Money isn't an easy subject to talk about at church, however, it an important part of being able to provide the ministries of our church to spread God's Word.
