Deacons Ministry...

Deacons are servants of the church who perform tasks requested of them by the elders; they are role models ministering in work of the church.

Deacons are ready to serve with their time, energies, and money to the best of their ability. They lead by example 'living a Christian life' in worship, in service and in separation from sin.

To study the biblical descriptions of deacons reference (Acts 6:6 and I Timothy 3:8-12).
Responsibilities of the Deacons are described in (Acts chapter 6). Men are selected to carry out certain tasks, which had become overly time-consuming for church leaders.

Similarly, at Town and Country, the Deacons assist the elders in carrying out many important ministries of the congregation. Among the responsibilities are faithful participation in adult worship, small group and study opportunities, while serving on one of the committees or ministry teams, assisting the elders with their shepherding responsibilities (evangelism, benevolence, visitation, communion, etc.) opening and closing the building before and after services, and recruiting servers for worship.
